Exeter, New Hampshire is about one hour north of Boston’s Logan airport and about 45 minutes east of Manchester's airport. Pease International Airport, a former Air Force facilty located about 15 minutes to the east, offfers a limited number of commercial passenger flights. Last daily departure southbound from Portland is 3:40 pm weekdays, 6:40 pm weekends, arriving Exeter 5:02 and 8:02 respectively.
The
Exeter train station is found at 60 Lincoln Street, (Lincoln Street at
Railroad Avenue.) There is no ticket machine at the station.
Tickets
may be purchased by QuikTrak machine in Exeter at Gerry's Variety,
afdjacent to the train, station during their business hours, 6:00 am to
11:30 pm daily except Sunday, 7:oo am until 11:30 pm.
Tockets are also sold on the train space permiting, or are available from Amtrak in advance by calling 1 800 USA-RAIL.
